Ginette Duguay

Ginette Laurette Duguay, age 74, of New Glasgow, formerly of Trenton, passed away Monday, August 13, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Kenogami, Quebec, she was a daughter of the late Andre Joseph and Rita (Racine) Roussy. She was a retired employee of Scotiabank. She was a member of the former Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, Trenton. She was a loving and caring wife, mom, grandmother, sister and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was always kind, gentle and always put everyone else first. She had a way of making everyone feel special, especially children. She was an avid gardener and spent many hours in her beautiful gardens. She is survived by a daughter, Denise (David) Wilson, Pictou; son, Chris (Charity), New Glasgow; grandchildren, Harmony and Lindsey Wilson; Layla and Marley Duguay; sister, Donna MacNaughton, Trenton; brothers: Lawrence (Marie) Roussy, Plattsburgh, New York; Jerry (Theresa) Roussy, Pomquet; Michael Roussy, Saint John, NB; sisters-in-law: Frances Roussy, Marlene MacGillivray and Heather Roussy. She was predeceased by her husband, Wayne "Butch" Duguay; brother, Steve Roussy; brothers-in-law: Leo MacGillivray and Robert MacNaughton. Special thanks to the Pictou Rehab Unit, Aberdeen Hospital I.C.U., Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Dr. Hack and Dr. Burrill, for their care. Visitation 6-8 pm Friday, in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, 55 Almont Ave., New Glasgow. A private burial will take place in Christ the King Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Aberdeen Health Foundation or a charity of choice.
