William 'Billy' Munroe

William Norman "Billy" Munroe, age 66, of New Glasgow, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at home. Born in New Glasgow, he was the son of the late Harold and Pearl (MacDonald) Munroe. He was a retired welder from Trenton Works. He is survived by cousins: Janet Soles; Weldon Grover; special friends: Richard and Anita Heighton; Ron and Debbie Sharpe; George and Donna Russell, and families; the Murphy family; neighbours: Charlie and Mary Fanning. He was predeceased by a sister, Kathy Munroe. Visitation 6-9 pm Tuesday, February 18, in R.H. Porter Funeral Home, 55 Almont Ave., New Glasgow. Burial will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
