Patrick Kelly

Patrick F. Kelly, Apr. 1^st, 1944 – Mar 27^th, 2015. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Patrick (Bup) F. Kelly- husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. Pat was born in New Glasgow on April 1^st, 1944 and  is survived by his wife of 50 years, the former Mary J. MacLellan; daughter, Darla (Craig); sons, Tim (Lisa), Craig, Troy (Tanya), Sean (Marcie); grandchildren, Nicolas and Olivia; Jenna and Kaitlin; Christopher, Andrew, Avery, Kallum and Camden; and special granddaughter Rachel – his side kick. Also surviving are his mother and father, Marion and Pat Kelly Sr.; sisters, Cherry and Shan; brothers-in-law, Wayne (Beth) MacLellan and Carl (Sylvia) MacLellan. Pat spent most of his working life in the plumbing and heating trade and operated his own business for many years. His favorite pastimes were spending time at Old Orchard campground in Pictou, many trips to Bangor, Maine and the southern United States, and especially his fishing trips to Guysborough. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation by request. There will be a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish on Wednesday, April 1^st at 2 pm with Father Donald Boudreau officiating.  Reception to follow at Sister Catherine Steele Centre. Family flowers only. Donations can be made in his memory to Palliative Care at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Farrell and Rhonda Langille and staff of the palliative care unit for their undaunting care and compassion. Arrangements are under the direction of the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
