It is with deep sadness and profound sense of loss that the family of Heather Rachelle Connors, of New York, formerly of New Glasgow, announce her sudden and unexpected passing on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at the age of 37.

Born in New Glasgow, NS, on June 14, 1982, Heather was the daughter of Glenn and Jacqueline (Cameron) Connors of New Glasgow. Growing up, Heather attended New Glasgow High School from where she graduated in 2000. She continued on her education path by obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree from McGill University in 2004. Heather always had an eye and passion for fashion. She attended Parsons Art and Design School in New York City in 2005 where she made many connections in the fashion world, obtaining an internship at Marc Jacobs and employed by Gap. Her vision, originality, and creativeness allowed her to excel with her love in the fashion industry.

Heather will be lovingly remembered by her all who knew her. She is survived by her parents, Glenn and Jacqueline Connors. She will be greatly missed by brother and best friend, Christopher, sister-in-law and friend, Heidi Connors, as well as brother, Joseph Connors (Tammy), sister, Monica Connors-Keller (Shawn), maternal grandmother, Audrey Cameron, and special niece, Blake, whom she loved so dearly. Heather will also be fondly remembered by several aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.

Heather was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Eddie and Claire Connors, and maternal grandfather, Harold Cameron. She was also predeceased by her brother, Raymond Connors, and aunt, Marie Stewart (Connors).

Heather could light up any room she walked into with her beautiful smile. She was the keeper of all friends and had the ability to make every person she met feel as though they had known each other their entire lives. Her infectious smile and charisma inspired those around her to be happy and blessed to be in her presence. 

Heather loved life and spent her days appreciating the life she had while making the people in her life know how much she loved them. Her true genuine soul always breathed compassion and captivated all who had the moment to love her. She will be greatly missed by every life she touched and will be cherished in the hearts of all who knew her dearly. 

A funeral mass in memory of Heather will be held Tuesday, September 3at 2 pm in Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 390 High St., New Glasgow with Father Tom MacNeil officiating. A Celebration of Life will follow the service at Glasgow Square, 155 Riverside Parkway, New Glasgow.
