Dorothy Lawless

Dorothy Amelia (Rogers) Lawless, passed away suddenly at Medicine Hat Regional Hospital, Alberta  on January 20, 2021. Dorothy was the loving wife of the late Douglas C. Lawless of Little Harbour, Nova Scotia .

Dorothy was loved and will be greatly missed by her daughter, Michelle Beauregard (Daniel Beauregard); grandchildren: Nicole Dawn Beauregard, Medicine Hat, Alberta and Chelsey Marie Sheard (Jamie Sheard), Cottesmore Oakham, UK. She will also be missed by her great-granddaughter, Payten Michelle Eden-Sheard; sister, Mrs. Alice Fraser (late Arnie Fraser), Stellarton NS; sister-in-law: Barb Russell; brothers-in-law: David White; Russell (Maureen) Lawless; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas Lawless; her parents, James and Lillian Rogers; sister, Isabel White; brother, Tom Rogers all from New Glasgow, NS; in-laws, Jim and Johannah Lawless, from Trenton, NS.

Dorothy worked for 20 plus years as a civilian Administration clerk for the Canadian Armed Forces where she and Douglas criss-crossed Canada and spent several years in Germany. Upon retirement, Dorothy and Doug returned home to New Glasgow where she spent their final years together in Little Harbour. During this time Dorothy worked as a cashier for Sobeys, Aberdeen Mall. After Doug passed, Dorothy made her final move to Medicine Hat, Alberta, where she lived with her daughter Michelle and family until her passing.
