Charles 'Chuck' Hartling

Charles Arthur "Chuck" Hartling, age 73, of Trenton, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2021, at home. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Corey and Marion (Gerrior) Hartling. He was a retired welder from Trenton Works, where he enjoyed working with his union friends and buddies for many years.  He is survived by a son, Paul, Trenton; brothers: Corey (Judy), New Glasgow; Barry, Trenton; sister, Joan (Jack) Johnson, Caribou River; mother-in-law, Jennie Tibbo (Bill Davidson), New Glasgow; sister-in-law, Debby (Steve) Lawrence, Stellarton. He was predeceased by his wife, Phyllis Schofield and brother, Allister. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Christ the King Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the Pictou County SPCA. Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton.
