Jean Fraser

Jean Frances Fraser, March 13, 1935 – April 10, 2021. It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Mom and Nana. Jean was born in Westville to Florence (Saunders) and David Patterson.

Jean married James I. Fraser in 1954 they had six children, Gary (Dale) Fraser, Phyllis Fraser, David (Yvette) Fraser, Jeff (Lenore) Fraser, Kevin (Rena) Fraser, and Lori (Dale) MacDonald. Jean’s surviving sisters, are Joyce West and Brenda Mugford. Jean and James (Jim) had 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Mom’s children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren meant the world to her and she loved the family visits.

Jean was predeceased by her husband, her parents, and mother-in-law, Margaret Fraser, brothers, John and Robert Patterson, sister, Mary Tanner, son-in-law, Brian Fraser and great-grandchild, Daniel Humphries.

A private graveside service, burial, and Celebration of Life will be held at later date. Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow. 

 

Goodbye my family, my life has passed.

I loved you all to the very last.

Weep not for me, the courage take.

And love one another for my sake.

I’m with your father, where I belong.

Go on with life, and be strong.

For those we love don’t pass away.

They walk beside us every day.
