Barry Lewis Murphy, age 66, of Truro and formerly
of Trenton, passed away April 21, 2021 in Cedarstone Enhanced Care,
Truro. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Harry and Elsie
(Spanks) Murphy, of High St., Trenton. Barry was a member of the
former St. Augustine Anglican Church. He was a former client of Summer
Street Industries from where he did co-op work with Central Supplies
and Stright MacKay. Barry had a great love of trains and had quite a
collection of model trains. Barry is survived by sisters: Doris
Williams, New Glasgow Eileen MacKenzie, Trenton; and Brenda Murphy,
New Glasgow. He is also survived by nieces: Lisa MacKenzie, Halifax;
and Sandra (Billy) Ehler, Trenton; and great nephew, Wyatt
MacKenzie-Ehler. Barry was predeceased by his parents; brother, Gary;
brothers-in-law: Leo Williams and Murdock MacKenzie. Cremation has
taken place under the care of R.H. Porter Funeral Home. A graveside
service will be held at 2 pm Sunday, April 25, in Hillside Cemetery,
with Mr. Fergie MacKay officiating. Those attending must wear a mask
and practise social distancing. Donations in his memory may be made to
