Ronald "Butch" Hughes, age 83, of Lourdes, passed away Monday, July 19, 2021, in the Aberdeen Hospital. He retired from New Glasgow High School after many years of teaching. He is survived by his wife, Theresa; son, Ron (Audrey); grandchildren, Mary and Vincent. There will be no visitation. A private funeral mass will take place at 1 pm Thursday, July 22. The service will be livestreamed on the Stella Maris – Holy Name Catholic Church Facebook Page. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of choice. Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
