Joan Helen Ferguson, age 92, of Pictou, passed away Monday, September 20, 2021, in the Shiretown Nursing Home. Born in New Glasgow, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Evelyn (Taplin) Ferguson, of Pictou Landing. She was a former employee of the Hector Exhibit Centre and an adherent of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Pictou Landing. She is survived by a daughter, Jane (Robert) Johnson, Caribou River; son, Blane (Elizabeth), Pictou; granddaughters, Caitlin (Joe) Gothreau, Amherst; Chrissy Johnson, Caribou River. She was predeceased by her husband, Vernon Blane Ferguson. A family graveside service will take place at 11 am Thursday, in Seaview Cemetery, Pictou, with Mr. Fergie MacKay officiating. Donations in her memory may be made to the Arthritis Society. Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
