Bernard Charles Enger, age 69, of New Glasgow, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 5, 2021. Born in Clermont, France, he was a son of Raymond Roger Enger of France and the late Andrée Louis (Rasserie) Enger. An Electrical Civil Engineer, he came to Nova Scotia in 1973, working for Michelin. He retired from Michelin and travelled the world in the oil industry, later moving into semi-retirement in the community. He was involved with the Johnny Miles Marathon, the Melmerby Triathlon and was a member of Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Bernadette Lucas-Enger; sons: Yannick Enger (girlfriend Jill Grant); Christopher Enger (fiancé Stevie Dempsey); grandchildren, Sierra Enger and Katie Enger; father-in-law, Kimball Lucas; special niece, Zoe Lucas; special nephew, Clay Lucas. He was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Martine Appercé; mother-in-law, Jean Lucas. A family service will be held at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
