1957-2021

Michael Tupper

Lloyd Michael Tupper, 1957-2021, passed away peacefully in Colchester East Hants Health Centre on December 4. A year long struggle with cancer was faced with courage and optimism.

Michael grew up in Trenton and Alma, and lived most of his adult life in Debert. Recently, he lived in Halifax and Truro. Michael is survived by his ex-wife, Angela and sons, Jason and Dylan as well as brothers, Paul Tupper and Fraser (Susan) Campbell. He was predeceased by his parents, Lloyd and Minnie Tupper.

After graduating from Cobequid Educational Centre, Truro, Michael worked at various trades throughout his life such as with Russel Metals Inc and Jacques Whitford Ltd. But his life-long passion had always been music. An accomplished musician, he played guitar and sang in local bands like Middle Road and Still Alive And Well. His musical talent, his wealth of knowledge, his quick wit and his kindness made him an exceptional and well-liked person. He will be missed by his family, his many relatives and friends.

A heartfelt thanks is extended to the VON and the staff of the Palliative Care Unit in Truro for their care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. A graveside ceremony will be held in Spring of 2022 at Greenwood Cemetery, Pictou Landing. Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
