Lawrence Foote, age 80, of Pine Tree, passed away January 18, 2022 in the Aberdeen Hospital following a lengthy illness. Lawrence grew up in French River, a son of the late John A. and Ethel (Robson) Foote. He was a former employee of Scott Maritimes Ltd. and after retiring, spent his time fixing things in his garage, building fiddles and fishing at his secret lake. He is survived by his wife, Eileen (Chisholm); sons: Bob; Kenneth (Diane Mahar); daughter, Janet (Mike Burge); grandchildren: Robyn (Chad) Thompson, Shelby (Pete) Jenkins, Hayley Foote (Amber Hallam), Troy Foote, Tyler Foote, Dylan Campbell, Marley Burge; great-grandchildren: Isabelle and Andie Thompson, Emily Jenkins. He was predeceased by brothers, Lloyd and Melvin; sisters, Olive Ross and Edna Browning. There will be no visitation or funeral. Interment at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to the Pictou County Food Bank. Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
