David Sinclair MacLaren, age 56, of New Glasgow, passed away
on Thursday, February 10, 2022. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of
Evelyn (MacDonald) MacLaren of Linacy and the late Neil MacLaren. He
is survived by his wife, Tammy (MacGrath) MacLaren; daughters, Kilti
and Courtney; brother, Eddy (Kim), of New Glasgow; sister, Debby
(Greg) Grant, of Newmarket, ON; father and mother-in-law, Carl and
Juanita MacGrath, of East River St. Mary’s. He was well
loved by his nieces and nephews: Mandy and Mitchell MacLaren; Andrew,
Ryan and Allie Grant; Matthew MacGrath and Avery Jackson; and his many
aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by brother-in-law,
Richard MacGrath and sister-in-law, Kimberley MacGrath-Jackson. Dave
traveled the world as a logistics specialist for Rowan Drilling
Company. He was past president of the Bombers Club. Some of his many
nicknames were, Pickle, Uncle Buck, Davey Doodles, Bubba and Doogie
Howser. He was passionate about cars and hockey and loved to share a
coffee with his many friends. He was often known to cook for large
gatherings of people and was always the first person to lend a helping
hand. A private service by invitation will be held at 1pm Monday. A

masks, proof of full vaccination and valid ID are required. Donations
in his memory may be made to the Pictou County Palliative Care
Society. Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral
