Margaret Elizabeth Fergus, age 84, Trenton. It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Marg. She passed away peacefully at Glen Haven Manor on Thursday, June 2, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Edith (Dickie) MacEachern.

Marg was employed for many years as a receptionist for the late Dr. H.H. Felderhof and Dr. J.K. Grieves and was a former bank teller for the Bank of N.S. in Trenton. Marg also worked as a secretary in the Trenton School system, moving to the Pictou District School Board, Central Office, in 1982, retiring as Executive Secretary in 1991.

Marg was a member of the First United Church, Trenton. She was a former Sunday School Teacher; CGIT Leader and Superintendent; member of the Senior Choir; member of Naomi Unit and UCW; and the First United Church Time Out Group.

She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Charles; sons: Fred (Cathy), New Glasgow; Greg (Bev), Grand Bay-Westfield; granddaughter, Krista (Laurie MacDonald), Trenton; grandson, Adam (Diana), Trenton; great-granddaughters: Scotia, Emily and Calli; brother, Rev. Doug (June) MacEachern, Moncton; sister-in-law, Joan MacEachern, Trenton; several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, William "Bill" MacEachern and special cousin, Thelma Green.

The family would like to express sincere thanks to the VON, Home Support Workers, the Restorative Care Unit in Pictou, Aberdeen Hospital and Glen Haven Manor doctors, nurses and staff for all their wonderful care, compassion and concern.

Funeral service will be held at 2pm Monday, June 6, 2022, at the First United Church, Trenton. Masks are required for all attending. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Church, Trenton or a charity of choice. Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton.
