Elizabeth 'Betty' (Munro) MacKay

Matilda Elizabeth "Betty" (Munro) MacKay, age 76, of Trenton, NS, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022, at the Aberdeen Hospital.

Born in Minto, NB on January 17, 1946, Betty was one to speak her mind, and she will be remembered fondly by those who knew and loved her.

She enjoyed many things in life, ranging from watching hockey or her favourite soap operas to dancing, darts and her active participation with the Royal Canadian Legion.

She was especially passionate and dedicated throughout the years to all of the children she cared for living on Belmont Avenue and took pride in her work and association with the Highland Community Residential Services.

Betty is survived by two children: Frank Trenholm and Bobbi-Jo Goodwin; and six grandchildren: Coady, Avery, Gracie, Andrew, Zach and Carter. She is also survived by three brothers: George Vacheresse, Robert Munro and Jamie Munro.

She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Shirley (Vacheresse) Munro, as well as her son, William Jones.

There will be no formal service as per her request. Betty will be laid to rest in her hometown of Minto, NB. Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home.
