Katherine Jean Tutty, age 81, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 30, 2022 in the Aberdeen Hospital. Born in New Glasgow, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Ethel (Fraser) Forbes. She graduated from Acadia University with a Degree in Education and taught in New Glasgow High School until retirement. She is survived by her husband, Robert; brothers, Robert (Carol) Forbes; Frederick (Colette) Forbes, both of Little Harbour; brothers-in-law, Reginald (Catherine) Tutty, Pictou Landing; Graham Frampton, Dartmouth; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother-in-law, Wayne (Patricia) Tutty and sister-in-law, Catherine Frampton.  No visitation by request. A public graveside service will be held at 11 am Saturday in Church Brook Cemetery, Little Harbour with Rev. Dr. Joon Ki Kim officiating. Reception to follow in the Church Hall. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice. Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
