It is with great sadness that we wish to inform you that Claire Jacqueline Connolly passed away peacefully at her home in Stellarton on August 31, 2022.

Born in Antigonish on March 23,1962, she spent her early years with her family in Heatherton and later moved to Stellarton where she attended the Pictou Training Center. Shortly after, she went to work at Summer Street Industries until her retirement. 

Claire loved music and could often be heard singing out the words to her favourite Irish and Traditional songs. She was always surrounded by her favourite stuffed animals and musical toys. Her great sense of humour would easily bring a smile to your face. 

Claire's family would like to give special thanks to the amazing caregivers at MacBeth House for their dedication, compassion and kindness that made her residence her "home". 

Claire is survived by her parents, Cyril and Grace Connolly of Truro, NS; sisters: Debbie (Gerry) Connolly, Janet, Karen, Linda, Cathy, Val (Mark) Stone, Kim, Angela (Randy) Pyke; and brother, Michael (Rhonda). 

Funeral service will be held at 11 am Friday, September 9, in Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 390 High Street, New Glasgow, with Fr. Tom MacNeil officiating.

Donations may be made to Summer Street Industries in memory of Claire. Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
