Sandra M. Burns, 83, of Trenton, passed away peacefully at Glen Haven Manor on October 18, 2022. Sandra was the only daughter of Francis and Nettie Dobson. She was the mother of three children from a previous marriage and also a grandmother and great-grandmother. In her early years, she worked at her father’s store, Dobson’s Stationary, and retired from Canada Post after 30 plus years. Sandra is survived by her husband of 42 years, Peter Burns. She was predeceased by her parents and her youngest daughter, Lynette. Sincerest gratitude to the staff of Glen Haven Manor and the Aberdeen Hospital for the exceptional care always given to her. Funeral mass 11 am Saturday in Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, New Glasgow, with Fr. Tom MacNeil officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Diabetes Canada. Her memory will live on through the spreading of kindness as she would have done.
