It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Genesta Vivian MacInnis, (age 91, formerly of Trenton) on November 7, 2022 at Valley View Villa. Born in New Glasgow, she was the daughter of the late William Guy and Annie (Duncan) MacDonald and last surviving member of her family. Throughout her long life, she worked for Ganong Chocolates and Electrohome, as a dispatcher with the Trenton police station, and retired from Michelin Tire. She is survived by: daughters, Shirley Ann Stewart, Rhonda (David) Montgomery, and Cathy (Stephen) MacIntosh; sons, Dale (Susan) and Terry (April), and daughter-in-law, Nancy MacInnis; 16 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Hector; her son, Kevin; daughter, Debra; grandson, Davidson Biggar; brothers, George and John; sisters, Verena, Shirley, and Dallas; and infant brother, William. A private graveside service will take place at Christ the King Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Palliative Care Program at Valley View Villa. Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton.
