Hingley, George Alexander (76) of New Glasgow, passed away
Nov 09 at home.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late David and Joyce
(MacGregor) Hingley .
He was retired from a very long successful career as a NDT
(Non-destructive Technician) working all over the world on pipelines,
aircrafts, off-shore oil rigs, Nuclear Plants, bridges and many, many
other projects.
He is survived by his brother, Tom Haywood, Virginia, USA;
and 2 sons, David Austin, Moose Jaw, SK; James MacGregor, Halifax; and
2 grandchildren, Evan and Ayla, Moose Jaw, SK.
He was predeceased by his father and mother and sister
in-law, Margaret (Harper) Hingley
George lived a very full life. He loved his family very much
and enjoyed traveling all over the world and being able to experience
the many different cultures he visited. As well, he had a strong
passion for antiques and history which he got from his
father.
Visitation will be at R.H. Porter Funeral Home, 55 Almont
Ave., New Glasgow, Friday, Nov. 25, from 1-3 pm. Burial at 3:30 pm in
Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. Family flowers only. Donations may be
made to the Nova Scotia
