Faye Henrietta Doucette-Logan, age 63, passed away March 29,
2023 in the Aberdeen Hospital surrounded by the love of her
family.
Born the 15th of 16 children to Anna and Marcel Doucette (of
Trenton), Faye was a kind-hearted soul and a friend to everyone she
met. Faye loved her career at Glen Haven Manor where she was a CCA.
She formed many close friendships with her co-workers and the
residents. In recent years, she loved the company of her friends in
the Glen Haven Manor apartments. In the warm days of summer, they
loved to sit out front and chat.
Faye loved her many nieces and nephews. They have fond
memories of her showing them how to take the bus "up town"
to New Glasgow in the 80’s and hosting sleepovers where the
girls would go home with a piece of jewelry she had ordered from the
Avon catalogue. She was generous with her time and whatever means she
had, and was always cheerful and positive, regardless of what life
brought her way. She loved Coronation Street and all animals,
especially her beloved cat, Cuddles.
Faye will be lovingly missed by her siblings: Lorna (Gerry
Wadden), New Glasgow; Gerry (Evelyn), Waterloo; Mary Jean, Westville;
Ken (Denise), Bedford; Leon (Sue), Ottawa; David (Karen), Plymouth;
Paul (Shirley); Robert (Carol), Joan (Dave MacKay), all of Trenton;
Brenda; and Patsy (Glen MacKinnon), of New Glasgow; sister-in-law, Pat
(Gary "Gibby"), Stellarton; and former husband, Ken Logan.
She was grateful for the ongoing support from Carol, Joanie and Patsy
in the last few years.
Faye was predeceased by her parents, Anna and Marcel;
brothers: Joey, Eric, Richie and Gary "Gibby" Doucette; and
brother-in-law, Vernon Hoare.
A special thanks to the doctors and nurses of 4th floor and
Palliative Care of the Aberdeen Hospital for their care and kindness
during Faye’s illness.
Cremation has taken place. Public graveside
