William Clayton Goodwin, passed away quietly at age 87 on June 3, 2023, at Glen Haven Manor, with his niece and youngest brother by his side. He was predeceased by parents, Bill and Sadie Goodwin; sister Lillian; brothers, Alex, Steven, Collie and Anthony. He is survived by brother, Carl in New Glasgow; sister, Corrine in Ontario; and his many nieces and nephews. Clayton faced many health challenges but always had a smile for everyone. He loved to tease the staff at both High Crest and Glen Haven, where he was loved by all. The staff kept his favorite snack cheezies on hand for him which always brightened his day as well. He looked forward to bingo days with the help of volunteers and staff. Winning prizes brought him so much joy and happiness. Clayton will be greatly missed by all those he brought a smile to. Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will take place. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
