Robert Curtis Stanton, August 31, 1950- June 12,
2023.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
Robert "Bob" Stanton. Bob was a husband, father,
grampy/papa, who also through the years was a backyard mechanic. Bob
was a "jack of all trades". You could always find him in the
yard tinkering away.
Bitten by the travel bug, he and the family traveled across
Canada numerous times. During his lifetime, he held many jobs,
including selling door to door Electrolux Vacuums, the construction
boom in Alberta, working in the woods, also as a truck
driver.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Donna; his children,
Georgina, Cindy (Charles), Bobby (Lauren), Susan (Darren), and Kathy;
14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; and numerous sisters and
brothers.
He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Darlene; his
precious grandson, Curtis; his mother, Virginia; brother, Larry; a
sister and his grandmother, Granny Stanton.
A special thank you to all the Nurses on the 4th Floor, and
the 5th Floor Transitional Unit; and a very special thank you to the
Palliative Care Nurses and Doctors for the special care and compassion
shown to him and our family.
There will be a Celebration of Life for all who would like to
attend at the Westville Rec Center, 1759 Drummond Road, Saturday, June
24, from 2-5pm. Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter
Funeral Home.
