Donald "Donnie" Ralph Stuart, of Abercrombie, passed away Tuesday, August 15th, 2023 in the Aberdeen Hospital surrounded by loved ones. Born in Port Hawkesbury, he was a son of the late George Edward and Christena May Stuart. He was a kind and quiet man, lover of cats, who was skilled in many trades including carpentry and metal work. He worked for Trenton Works, Kelsey-Hayes, and General Motors.
Donnie is survived by friends and family. His daughters: Ashley and Melanie, their mother Lucy; his granddaughter, Baillie; his sister, Catherine, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Tammy; brothers: Ernest, James and George; sisters: Shirley, Vera Maude; half-brothers: Reginald, John, Robert, and Edward; half-sisters: Hellen, Gladys, and Gloria.
A private graveside service will be held in the Abercrombie Cemetery. Donations in the memory of Donnie may be made to Nova Scotia SPCA. Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
