Mae LeBlanc, age 85, of New Glasgow, formerly of Morris Island, Yarmouth County, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023, at Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow. Born in Morris Island, she was the daughter of the late Charles "Barney" and Augusta Surette. Mae enjoyed many crafts, most notably knitting, where she was well known for her slippers throughout her immediate family. She is survived by her husband, Tony; a son, Robert (Barb), New Glasgow; four grandchildren, Anthony, Peter, Samantha and Nicole. Cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be held for immediate family and friends at R.H Porter Funeral Home. A special thank you to all the staff at Glen Haven Manor for taking such good care of Mae in her final years. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Foundation or the SPCA.
