Brenda Marie Murphy, December 27, 1962 – December 11, 2023.

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our loved one, Brenda Marie Murphy, age 60, of Trenton, NS. She passed away at the Aberdeen Hospital, Intensive Care Unit on December 11, 2023 at 6:18am, surrounded by her loving family members.

Brenda was a daughter of the late Alex and Lena Murphy of Stellarton, NS (Lourdes). Brenda was predeceased by her brother, Howard Murphy of Stellarton; along with her baby girl, Jessica Marie Murphy.

She is survived by her sister, Patsy (Steve) Price, Coldbrook, NS; brothers: Morrison (Cathy) Murphy, Stellarton, NS; Richard (Maxine) Murphy, Pleasant Valley; John (June) Murphy, McLellan’s Brook; Pat Murphy, Halifax; along with several nieces and nephews.

Brenda is also survived by her daughter, Michelle (Jason) Reddick, Trenton, NS; 9 amazing grandchildren, whom she loved very much: Jasonna Reddick, age 13; Jason Reddick, age 9; Jayvont Reddick, age 8; Jayvion Reddick, age 7; Jaslynn Reddick, age 6; Jayelle Reddick, age 5; Jaymes Reddick, age 3; Jayke Reddick, age 2; Jasiah Reddick, age 1.

Brenda was a very gentle soul and very strong-willed woman with a heart of gold. She wore her heart on her sleeve and always believed in giving anyone a chance; always wearing a smile, bringing cheer to anyone who came in contact with her.

Visitation 3-5pm Friday, December 15, R.H. Porter Funeral Home, 55 Almont Ave., New Glasgow. There will be no service by request. Donations in her memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit c/o Aberdeen Health Foundation, the VON or a charity of choice.
