William "Billy" Roy Gallant, age 63, passed away on October 7, 2024. Billy was predeceased by his parents, Roy Gallant and Lolly MacDonald. He is survived by his partner, Betty Munroe; his four children: Billijane (Bryan), Alison, Justin (Pele), and Hope (Chris); step-father, Neil MacDonald; and numerous relatives. He took immense pride in being a grandfather to Levi, Olivia, and Penelope. 

A dedicated and skilled electrician, Billy graduated at the top of his class with an electrical diploma and worked for 36 years at MT&T, now Bell Canada. Beyond his career, he enjoyed hunting, boating, and landscaping. He was well known for his pranks and enjoyed socializing with friends and family.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, October 26th, from 2-4 pm at the Pictou Landing Fire Hall with words of remembrance at 3pm, followed by burial at Greenwood Cemetery in Pictou Landing. In honor of Billy’s memory, the family requests that donations be made to Summer Street, 72 Park St., New Glasgow, NS, B2H 5B8. Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
