Foster Douglas Lorimer, 60 years old, of Trenton, Nova Scotia, born December 4, 1963 to Doug and Gladys Lorimer died from complications due to a single vehicle car accident occurring in the very early morning on November 30, 2024 in Truro.

He began his life as an athletic boy who loved basketball. He coached with Trenton Minor Basketball and then at the schools his children attended. He began his love for Stephen King in high school and is arguably his #1 fan. He devoted his life to collecting every piece of memorabilia he could get his hands on. His adult life he began running a bakery at the IGA before getting his lifelong career at Michelin where he just received his 35-year service award. He donated blood every single time he could from the age of 15 and recently received his 150 donations pin.

He is survived by his daughter, Justine (Ty); sons, Gage (Karen) and Evan (Alanah); his mother, Gladys Lorimer; the mother of his children, Lorraine Clark; his siblings, Robert Lorimer and Velvet Fraser; his 5 grandchildren whom he adored immensely, Harlow (8), Nora (7), Weston (6), Daisy (5), Deegan (5); lastly his dearest friend, Velva Steward. 

We will be having a Celebration of Life on Wednesday, December 4th, which would have been his 61st birthday, from 4-7pm at Summer Street Industries, 72 Park St., New Glasgow, with Words of Remembrance at 5pm. The family will be having a private graveside service by invitation only. 

Donations may be made to Canadian Blood Services in Foster’s honour. Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home.
