Patsy "Pat" Frances Gordon, November 16th, 1943 – December 12th, 2024

It is with great sadness that the family of Pat Gordon, age 81, of New Glasgow, NS announces her peaceful passing on December 12th, 2024, in the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital.

Born in New Glasgow on November 16th, 1943, Pat was the daughter of William "Bill" and Annie MacDougall. She was raised in Trenton and was an active member of First United Church where she participated in Mission Band, Explorers, CGIT and Youth Group. Pat worked at the Aberdeen Hospital and the original Red & White Store (Duke Street, Trenton). She volunteered her time and talents serving as a leader in Beavers, Explorers and as a Sunday School teacher at First United Church.

She married her loving husband, Joe, in 1965. The couple had 59 years together raising their family in the North End of New Glasgow and their summers in Black Point. Pat treasured their time at the D & B Campgrounds where many happy memories and friends were made.

Pat was predeceased by her parents, Bill & Annie MacDougall; her sisters, Barbara Trombley, Hilda Millard; brother, John Smith and infant daughter, Janice Ann.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Joe; sons: Scott & Glenn (Julie); grandchildren: Darion & Spencer; chosen daughter/granddaughter, Pauline & Hailey Wamboldt; nephew, Gordon Cunningham; niece, Jessica Trombley; and cousin, Bonnie Wilwand.

To honor Pat’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 18th, 2024 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at R.H. Porter Funeral Home, 73 High St., Trenton. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pictou County SPCA or Palliative Care Unit c/o Aberdeen Health Foundation.
