On Thursday, 3 July 2025, Ann Theresa Darroch of New Glasgow, our beloved mother, best nanny, devoted aunt, and loving wife entered into the presence of the Lord.

Ann was the thirteenth child born on the 29 April 1939 to Elizabeth Johanna Ryan of Fox Island and Duncan MacNeil of Glace Bay.

Ann is survived by her husband, Garfield Gordon Darroch; her three children: Stephen Walter McMullen (Donna), Deborah Alice Miller (Troy), and Phyllis Ann Tree; her grandchildren: Denise Cooley (Stephen), Stephanie MacLean (Jimmy), Samantha Tree (VJ Williston), Chandler Miller, Heath Miller, and great grand-daughter, Mallory Cooley; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and siblings, Ann was predeceased by grandson, Jeremy Tree, and great-grandson, Josh Cooley.

A committal service will be held at the Abercrombie Cemetery on Sunday, 13 July at 1:30pm with Father Peter MacDonald presiding. A celebration of Ann's life will follow at 2:30 pm at First United Church Hall, 81 High Street, Trenton. Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home.

We will miss the conversations, the laughter, escapades for french fries or ice-cream and, especially, your superior potato salad. We will miss you, but are comforted to know your love and legacy live in all of us and that you now rest in the arms of your Saviour.
