Tracy Lynn Sparkes, age 54, of Hamilton Road, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Etobicoke, Ontario, she was a daughter of John and Donna MacDonald.

She worked as an LPN at Glen Haven Manor.  Tracy loved her job, her patients and most of all her co-workers who became her second family. She enjoyed such a simple uncomplicated life.  A passion for animals from an early age grew with her dogs, her horses and more recently her beloved chickens. Animals and rural life brought out the best in her, and was shared with those around her. 

She is survived by her parents, John and Donna MacDonald; husband Wayne Sparkes; children: Colton (Rozlyn), Megan (Brody), Philip (Samantha), Julian (Makayla); grandchildren: Wayne and Sawyer; sister, Kim (Ed); nieces and nephew: Alix, Drue and Kiefer. She was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Evelyn and Nez Piette; paternal grandparents, Roderick and Elizabeth MacDonald.

She will most truly be missed by those who knew her, and remembered with love....Always

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1-4pm Friday, July 18, in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, 55 Almont Ave., New Glasgow, with words of remembrance at 3:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit c/o Aberdeen Health Foundation or the SPCA.
