Dorothy Christine Campbell, age 89, of the Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, formerly of Trenton, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2025, in the Manor. Born in Westville and raised in Eureka, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Evelyn (Fraser) Jardine. She was a retired switchboard operator at the Aberdeen Hospital. Dorothy was a member of First United Church, Trenton and former Explorer leader; a member of the Michelin Retirees Club. She is survived by children: Joann (Ted) Chapman; David (Sherry) Campbell; Wayne (Marilyn) Campbell; grandchildren: Jeffrey Campbell, Malcolm Chapman; sister-in-law, Carol MacDonald. She was predeceased by her husband, J. Stewart Campbell. Special thanks to everyone at Glen Haven Manor where, by all accounts, she was much loved. There will be no visitation by request. A graveside service will take place at 1:30pm Wednesday, October 8 in Hillside Cemetery with Mr. Ron Shaw and Rev. Donna Tourneur officiating. Reception to follow in First United Church Hall, Trenton. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of choice. Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home.
