Todd Douglas Wilson, July 5, 1973 – October 17, 2025.
Todd left this world on October 17, 2025, surrounded by family at the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit. He was 52 years old, though his spirit stayed about "25 at heart".
Born on the 5th of July, 1973 in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, Todd was a son of Mark and Dorothy Wilson. He grew up in Trenton and he cherished his time spent with Darren, his brother, down in Lochaber. He could be found tearing up the grass on his dirt bike at the cottage or out on the water with his brother and parents on their speedboat. As a teenager he always had to be the "life of the party", and, that continued on into his adulthood. He enjoyed playing rugby in high school and had many fun experiences as an "older teenager" with his previous wife, Angie, spending their time adventuring on the road.
Todd lived his life full of humour and love for those closest to him. He deeply cherished his friendships with Jimmy, Ernie and many others along the way. He was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back, he was everyone’s "biggest cheerleader" wanting to see everyone in his life succeed. His family will always remember his signature party dance moves and the way he poured his heart into telling stories; even though they may have been repetitive, he told them in a way that they were just as funny as the first time you heard them.
He attended the welding program at NSCC in Port Hawkesbury; he was loved by all his mentors who wanted to award him 100% for his excellent work and stellar personality. He often told the story of how he picked a job off the union board with Clearwater Energy Services which turned into his lifelong career, but his favorite roles were "Dad" and "Papa".
He is survived by his father, Mark Wilson; brother, Darren (Heather), Upper Tantallon; mother of his children, Angela Wilson, Thorburn; his daughter, Emili (Clay), McPherson’s Mills; his son, Alexander, Coalburn; beloved grandchildren, Andrew and Reid; niece, Therese; nephew, Joseph. He was predeceased by his mother, Dorothy Wilson; paternal grandparents, George and Marjory Wilson; maternal grandparents, William and Sarah Reid.
Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow, NS. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 25th, 2025 at 11:00am in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with a reception at the hall to follow. Friends and family are invited to bring their best stories, photos, to honor him just the way he’d like it.
