With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Patricia Marie Kenney at home on Dec. 24 2025.

Patricia was born Sept. 24 1952 to the late John George and Margaret Isabel (Crockett) MacDonald, Priestville, New Glasgow.

Patricia was a devoted and loving wife of Douglas Kenney with whom she shared 48 years of marriage. She was a proud mother to her son, Aaron Kenney, Trenton and her daughter, Tara Kenney (Yanick Perras Salois), Edmonton, Alberta. She cherished her two granddaughters: Haley and Avery who brought her endless joy.

Patricia is also survived by brother, John (Virginia) MacDonald, Priestville; sisters: Sharon (Calvin) DeYoung, Linacy; Debbie (Kim) MacFarlane, Stellarton; brother-in-law, Steven Stewart, Trenton.

Patricia was predeceased by sister, Catherine Ann Stewart.

She found joy in her friendship with Isabel Chadwick; they went on many walks together and had a hot chocolate break afterwards. Also Wilda Allard, they had many phone calls keeping up with the latest events.

We would like to thank all of the staff of the Pictou County VON, nurses, home care workers, who looked after Patricia the last two years. Also, Nurse Practitioner (NP) Rachel Mackenzie, West Side Clinic, who gave the best possible for Patricia.

There will be no service at this time. Interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VON or a charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home.
