Myron Clifford Marshall of Fraser’s Mountain, passed away peacefully on March 13th at the age of 76.
Born and raised in Westville, Myron carried his love of the country and the outdoors with him throughout his life. He had a deep appreciation for nature, and could often be found fishing or hunting, enjoying the quiet beauty of the outdoors. A true country music fan, he loved, not only listening to his favourite songs, but also writing a few lyrics and singing a tune or two of his own.
Myron was especially proud of his daughter, Susanne, and his grandson, Dallas, who brought him immense joy and pride.
Myron had a gentle heart and a soft spot for animals of all kinds, especially his beloved cat, Tiger.
Over the years, Myron faced many health challenges. Throughout these difficult times he felt very fortunate to have the care and support of his beloved wife, Kathy. He was also deeply appreciative of the excellent care he received during his dialysis treatments in Antigonish and Pictou. He was particularly grateful for the compassion and dedication shown by Dr. Rivera, who went above and beyond on many occasions in the administration of his care.
Myron will be remembered for his love of music, his connection to the outdoors, his kindness toward animals, and the pride he held for his family. He will be deeply missed by sister, Faye Carrigan and all those who knew and loved him.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and no visitation or service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
