Ronald Vincent Burns, August 20, 1951 – May 16, 2026

Ronald Vincent "Ron" Burns, age 74, of Glencoe, Pictou County, died Saturday, May 16, 2026. He is survived by two sons, George Smith, New Glasgow; Ronnie Smith, Thorburn; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; siblings, Mary K. (Seward), Bernadette, Theresa (Kenny), Peter, JoAnne (Anne), Blaine and Donnie. He was predeceased by his wife, Monica; his parents, Marion (Burns) McInnis and Ronald "Bark" Burns; two sons, Jamie Burns (in infancy) and Donnie Smith; his brother, Doug Burns.

The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to Alice and Johnny for their friendship and care of Ron over the years.

At his request, Ron has been cremated and there will be no visitation or service. Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home.
