John Richard "Richy" MacDonald, age 75, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2026 in the Palliative Care Unit with family by his side.

Born in New Glasgow on May 4, 1951, he was a son of the late Isabelle and John MacDonald.

He worked at Tremco in Ontario for many years.

He is survived by his sister, Patricia Smith, Trenton; brothers: Joe MacDonald (Joan), Granton; Tom MacDonald, Ontario; two nieces: Sharon Gerrior (Craig Cromwell), Little Harbour; Chevelle Cromwell, Little Harbour; two nephews: Michael Gerrior (Kathleen), Alberta; Tyrone Cromwell, Little Harbour.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no service at his request. Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home.
