Elizabeth Jean "Betty" MacDonald, age 89, of Stellarton, formerly of Plymouth, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2026, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in MacLellan’s Mountain, she was a daughter of the late James Herbert and Grace MacDonald (MacIntosh) Webster. She worked as a bookkeeper with Henry R. Thompson and Fred MacDonald Construction. She is survived by special friends: Sandra MacCulloch, Gary Springall; brother, Nolan Webster; sister-in-law, Alice MacDonald; nieces and nephews: Jimmy, Cindy, Kerri, Stacy, Robert, Darren, Todd, Alison, Leanne, Ron, Susan. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred; brothers: John, Raymond; sisters-in-law: Daphine, Barb, Mary; brothers-in-law: David, Ivor; nieces: Debra, Mary Enid. Public graveside service 1pm Thursday, June 25, in MacLellan’s Mountain Cemetery, 605 MacLellan’s Mountain Road, with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
