CWO Frederick Gordon Duff, CD (Retired) 

We, the Duff family, are sad to announce the passing of Gordon. He passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. He was born August 23, 1934, in New Glasgow, NS. He was the eldest child of Fred and Isabelle Duff (nee Currie).

Gordon joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1956 and retired a Chief Warrant Officer in 1989, followed by 10 years at Scott Paper. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 29 and held most offices in the Legion; was Service Officer for 15 years as well as past President for 2 terms.

Gordon is survived by his 4 daughters: Lorraine (John-Hugh MacDonald), Anne-Louise (Peter Welch), Wendy (Scott Brennan), and Buzzy aka Barbara; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, John Robert "Jonsie" (Claire).

He was predeceased by his wife, the former Dorise Gallant (2019); his parents; sisters: Marie Long and Paula; brothers: Ronnie and Ernest "Jeep".

By request there will be no visitation or funeral. Cremation has taken place. Donations would be appreciated to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home.
